"MIDNIGHT MUSINGS"

In the dark of night, my thoughts take flight,

They dance and swirl, they keep me up all night.

Like thunder in my head, they roar and rage,

Disturbing my mind, they create a restless cage.

I long for peace, for a tranquil sleep,

But these thoughts, like a flood, into my mind seep.

They yearn to be penned down, set free on a page,

Like a cyclone's force, they demand center stage.

They bring both joy and sorrow, relief and despair,

A paradoxical mix, a burdensome affair.

They beckon me to listen, to heed their call,

But I yearn to silence them, to build a wall.

They challenge boundaries, they seek new ways,

Crafting a journey through life's complex maze.

Yet, fear grips me, will I handle it wise?

Or lose myself amidst their endless cries.

In the stillness of night, my pen takes flight,

I write in the dark, concealing from sight.

The worry of loved ones, their concern so deep,

I act normal, my feelings I bury and keep.

My lifestyle changes, it leaves me dismayed,

Yet, I move along, hoping not to fade.

These thoughts, like a river, they flow and stream,

Guiding my hand, bringing life to each dream.

I wonder what if, one day, they're no more,

Will my pen be silent, my soul left sore?

I've faced that darkness, when writing ceased,

But this journey, I know, must be released.

A lifelong venture, this path I'll embrace,

I'll cherish these thoughts, let them leave their trace.

For in this restless sea, my voice finds its might,

And so, in the dance of words, I'll find my light.
